If Iraq is really a sovereign country, and the majority of its population would like us to get out of Baghdad, maybe instead of listening to Crocker and Petraeus, who serve at his pleasure, Bush should listen to Maliki and get the hell out.

If they ever hold open elections, that may be the result.
That's one of the reasons Bush is trying to negotiate the status of forces type agreement so quickly before the scheduled Iraqi elections in October.
A new government will likely be more Sadrist and more nationalist Sunni.

Yeah, that sparked my most recent post. I was surprised that Bush listens to anyone but God. Afterall, he said himself that God talks directly to him. Obviously God must support the war.
