Bush implicated in Traitorgate

While the White House and its watchers wait anxiously for the results of independent counsel Fitzgerald's investigation into the leaking of a covert CIA agent Valerie Plame's identity, Think Progress reports George Stephanopoulos dropped this IED into the conversation.
Definitely a political problem but I wonder, George Will, do you think it’s a manageable one for the White House especially if we don’t know whether Fitzgerald is going to write a report or have indictments but if he is able to show as a source close to this told me this week, that President Bush and Vice President Cheney were actually involved in some of these discussions.
Looks like they may have some heavy 'splaining to do at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I can't wait to see how Karl will handle the perception management on this one.

Of course the down side is we would be calling Hastert, Mr. President. Not sure that's a step up.
